We live in a 3 bedroom house.

At the moment 7 year old DSD is in the bigger room and DS 1.5 year old in the smaller room.

Baby girl due soon but we are unsure the best way room wise.

Does DSD and DS share? Or do we put DS and DD together or DSD and DD??

I can't think of the best way. I know we have some time as baby will be in with us for now but just trying to plan ahead as I'm a massive planner and need to start thinking furniture wise ect.

Also I guess depends on how well they all sleep as don't want to many night disturbances for them Smile

Personally I would do girls together as presumably at some age that would happen anyway. Also I’d rather a baby be in with an 8yr old than a smaller child. I guess baby could stay in your room for seep until they’re a toddler if they wake frequently.

I would put the two closest in age together. Seven year old will have later bed time, small pieces of toys, may need homework area etc.

It would be easier to have one room toddler/baby proofed in my experience.

How often is SD there overnight?

@dancemom SD is here 5 nights one week and 3 nights another week pattern. Holidays shared equally.

I would put the 2 smaller babies into the bigger room & make the smaller room a nice 'big girl' room for DSD. Realistically the 2 younger kids will need more space for toys etc but older kid will need privacy & time apart from her siblings. You can always re-visit in a few years & the girls will probably share.

Yes 2 smaller ones in together, perhaps in bigger room - the smaller the kid the bigger their toys in my experience!

When DSD is like 18 the middle will be 11 right? So then he can have one room and little sister the other. Or you might have moved or anything could have changed by then.

I’d put the two little ones in together, though maybe they will wake each other up, I guess see how their sleeping is by the time baby moves out of your room
