yes!
If it's the flannelette nappy, not the terry one, it's ideal for a newborn; probably not absorbent enough for an older baby.
You need to practise a little, but they're designed to be held in place by the Bumpy wrap, but if you're nervous about containment you can use nappy pins. Have you got picture of the folding required?
IIRC (and it was 6 yrs ago, so I might be wrong), you lay the nappy out flat and fold the middle flap to get the most absorbency where you need it (middle of crotch for girls, front for boys) Then fold down the straight bit at the back to the height you want, and the straight bit at the front next.
Lay all this on top of the wrap.
Plonk baby onto nappy. Fold front up over tummy first, wrapping waist bits to the back, then fold waist bits of the back over the front. Tuck the loose bits at the legs inwards if necessary, then attach wrap as snugly as you want.
As child grows, you can just reduce the amount of fold down at front and back. As I said, not absorbent enough on its own for a toddler, or night time in an older baby, but easily boosted, or use two at a time. I've used them as inserts in pocket nappies as well!
