Tripp trapp and daredevil toddler

My 23m dd is a daredevil, a climber, a jumper, a hopper and won't sit still for a moment.
We currently use an ikea antilop but she pretty much stands up in it instantly and we end up putting her down and she eats standing up/running around. She'll use it to do pullups on, to push it around the kitchen etc. Sigh...

I was thinking to get a tripp trapp so she can come and go as she pleases but not sure if I'm not opening another separate can of worms. Would it be dangerous, could she fall/jump and hurt herself?

I can't get any sort of chair where i tie her down as she is also a little houdini. And if that fails she just screams until we release her.

Anyone with a similar type of child/whirlwind can share their experiences?

At 23 months we just let my dd sit on a regular chair with a booster cushion. She could get on and off by herself mostly.

Unfortunately mine is really tiny, no chance of getting on a chair herself. She only barely just manages to climb up the sofa

We also gave up on high chairs at this point and got a booster seat, which was short lived to be honest and she now just sits on a normal chair. If she needs to get on/off herself the safest would probably be a little table and chair set of her own, put next to yours?

Booster cushions from 19 months (DD1) and 17 months (DD2) here. They worked out how to get down themselves safely quickly, despite their size. Up took longer, but from a safety perspective, that's less key.

I'd agree with a tiny table and chair of her own if a booster cushion won't work.

The Tripp Trapp is more stable than the Antilop for standing on. Ours are old and came with little extensions to help prevent tipping.

I would use peer pressure. Do you have any older nieces and nephews who could come round and be praised for sitting nicely? You could bribe them afterwards!

Any normal chair with booster cushion should work. It’s also boring as it’s just the chairs you already own so it might discourage playing with it outside of meal times.

You could also look at the behaviour during meals by making sure food is only when sat at the table, no more eating running around (if for no other reason than it can be a choking hazard) and looking at snacks and meal times to make sure she’s properly hungry when a meal is served. I have a 2YO and when he’s over snacked, which happens more often than I like when he’s being dragged along to older sibling’s activities and is whinging then I’ve noticed that he’s an absolute terror at meal times! But when he’s hungry and not overtired he behaves really well.

We have a Tripp trapp, it’s very stable and solidly built so good from a safety perspective. They also last ages as you can adjust the height.

I agree with a booster cushion on a normal chair. Put a small stool next to it so she can climb up herself.
