At what age did your little one stop getting milk before bedtime?

Did you just stop it, or did your little one start refusing it?

When we started brushing teeth first and putting it in a sippy cup neither of mine were as interested and we stopped because they were only having a few sips. That was about 15 months for DD and 12 months for DS.

Ds was around 3 and dd was 2. Both stopped when we stopped warming it up in bottles and started putting it cold in a cup.

I stopped it age 1. They were heartbroken and looking back I regret it. If I had a baby now I wouldn’t do it so early.

3.5 and it was his choice - he stopped wanting it.

My little one has warm milk before story, toothbrush and bedtime it’s good to fill her tummy a bit “! She’s 3

My little one started refusing it when he was ready. He was well over two.

Why do you need to stop? Because they fall asleep with it? Fair enough I guess. Or maybe you want to switch to a cup instead of a bottle?
My 4 year old still has a cup of warm milk before bed - but I insist we brush he teeth after and if he’s thirsty after we’ve brushed his teeth he gets water not milk.
I don’t see any reason to stop this as long as he wants it. There’s nothing wrong with an older child or a teenager having a glass of milk of mug of hot chocolate in the evening. It’s good nutrition for growing kids as far as I’m concerned.

I would stop bottle now as the sugar in the milk isn't good for teeth via bottles

But by all means continue with milk in a cup if child still wants

May take a few days to swap

I personally get rid of bottles at 1 and swap to a beaker /sippy cup for milk

My 4 year old still has a cup of milk before bed. He'd be devastated if I told him he couldn't, he loves milk.

My daughter on the other hand stopped having a cup of milk when she was about 2 as she didn't want it anymore. She's 9 now and still headstrong!
