Hello, My baby is 7 1/2 months old and I gave her a little bit of my crusts from my dominoes veggie pizza (with her veg etc) after checking the allergens chart, Afterwards i rang my friend and after i said what i had done she said she was sure they put honey in it!! i did check the allergens and i checked them again after but now i am beside myself that i have gave her something i shouldn't have and i just am missing it in the food chart, can anyone help?

She'll be fine.

TheTempest · 11/12/2023 18:12

I’m allergic to Honey and have never had a reaction to Domino’s if that helps? I didn’t know honey was an issue for babies though.

I would imagine the heat would kill any unlikely bad things in the honey, I wouldn't worry. And it'll be a tiny amount. She's fine

@TheTempest they're not allowed honey until they are 1yr old

I'd had no idea until I saw a thread yesterday about it (botulism?)!

Thanks @Devilsmommy .My DD is 14 now, I’m sure I’ve forgotten everything about new babies!

No honey in the crust ingredients list: WHEAT flour, Premix (MILK, WHEAT), Rapeseed oil, Cornmeal, Water, Yeast

@TheTempest 🤣 the only reason I know is because I've got a 14mo DS. I'm 37 and spent my whole life not knowing it either 😁

TeaKitten · 11/12/2023 18:17

As someone else said, ingredients are available online and there’s no honey. Even if there was it’d be tiny amounts and cooked into the base so it would be fine

KaiserChefs · 11/12/2023 18:17

It's cooked. Cooking kills pathogens. It's fine.

TeaKitten · 11/12/2023 18:18

Also honey isn’t an allergen so wouldn’t show up in an allergens list, best to get the full ingredients list if in doubt.

If you checked the allergens first, don't let 'friends' make you paranoid about your choices.
