Disposables - whats the most absorbant for night??

We normally use reusables - but in April we are going to a posh hotel for SIl's wedding we're going to be use disposables for a couple of days. What's the most absorbant for an almost 2 yr old boy (he's not heavy only about 26lb with slim legs but when he chooses can wee for England)??? Due to a laundry crisis we use a naturebaby last night and we were soaking this morning. Would like to use environmentally friendly nappies but as we can't afford to get wet will swallow my eco pride and if necessary buy a pack of one of the mainstream brands - any advice greatly welcome!!

IMO a boy who wees a lot will often be wet in the morning whatever the brand.
I would therefore stick to your principles and go for nature baby or supermarket own.

My DS1 wees for England. The only ones that hold his wee all night are Huggies Super Dry (wears Pampers Active Fit in day, they don't last the night tho...). I change him literally the minute before he goes to bed and 99% of the time he is ok in morning.

i find huggies extra dry work great but at night always have to change before i go to bed dont see him all through luckily he never wakes so keeps him comfy

in day it seems to do the job i can get up to 4 hrs

sainsburys own at that age for my ds was perfect just dont do job now and didnt do great for night times i would hgo for size bigger for the night it will last longer so maybe sainsburys own or tescos found there own brand actually better than sainsburys but once again size bigger for night time

Yep going a size up helps too. They started leaking again when he was in 4+ so moved him to 5 and very rare not to have a dry night (he is just two and is about 29lbs I think).

Seona1973 · 13/03/2008 19:53

use the biggest nappy for your lo's size - I use size 5+ on my lo as they go from 29lbs and he has just reached that weight. I get good results with pampers baby dry and tesco baby essentials (green pack) although the tesco nappies dont have the 5+ nappy size so I am not using them at the moment.

Pampers Baby Dry, a size bigger. Works for me!

Jojay · 14/03/2008 13:57

Pampers Baby Dry - my DS leaks through Nature Babies too!

horsemadgal · 16/03/2008 09:36

Lidl pull ups here.

nannyL · 16/03/2008 09:43

if you are worried get a pack of pampers bed mats so you can stick it under the sheet and sleep soundly!

sweetkitty · 16/03/2008 09:44

Tesco's own brand of pull ups, much better than Huggies or Pampers and cheaper too.

find Somerfield own very good. My dd is 5 and not dry at night and they 'stay dry'.

In fact I think thats what they are called.
