Stop baby falling asleep in pram or car

How can I stop him from nodding off? He had a 5 mins nap in the car this morning, a crib nap lasting one hour later on and just had another 5 min pram nap and now won’t nap. So by bedtime he will have had a grand total of 1hr 10 daytime sleep which is far too little for a 6mo. How do I stop these mini naps which wreck the entire day of sleep?

Sorry no suggestions to keep awake in pram or car. Suppose keep car cool, play bouncy music but still unlikely. If due a nap now put in pram walk for 5 mins then sneak back home and they can finish nap in pram. I also put pram in front of washing machine and that noise helped keep them asleep and drown out other noise in house.

I really don’t think you can. You either need to fit around their schedule, or go with whatever schedule the day ends up throwing at you.

Either put them in bed earlier or keep walking/driving till napp time is over.

You can't really, they will fall asleep in the pram or carseat. You can try to time outings so that you go out straight after a nap or let them sleep In the pram/bring it in the house.

To be honest my oldest would only nap in the pram after a walk, youngest would sleep anywhere. Which was a good thing as he was being dragged around after his sister most of the time.

Getting them just to sleep at home can be restrictive to you going out and doing things. Especially when you have an older one to.

Plan tavel times into when a half decent nap can be accomplished. Unfortunately there's no way to prevent sleep, you just have to be flexible and work with it. It's not the end of the world to have one shorter nap every so often
