Breastfeeding

My little girl is newly 9 months old, she's exclusively breastfed. Recently we've tried introducing a a bottle but she's not interested, she's not really a big eater either when it comes to food she's not too interested. How did people go from breastfeeding to a bottle? I've tried multiple bottles and she won't take any, night time is becoming worse she must wake up to be fed over 6 times per night she will not settle back to sleep with out been fed I'm so tired and drained as I have 2 other children too (4&7) I just don't see an end to the long nights and constant feeling through the night and I'm so so tired 😴 I know it must be a comfort for her but I feel like i can't take much more of it. The house work is getting on top of me because I'm far too tired to get anything done through the day but I'm up so many times throughout the night I also want to go back to work how how can I do this when she's constantly feeding and won't take alternatives, I've tired leaving the room/ house and my partner feed her she's just not interested she gets frustrated and worked up I just don't know what to do any advice would be brilliant, thank you

Start introducing it in the daytime as a fun thing, in her high chair or bumbo seat. Consider going straight to a sippy cup or similar at this stage. Try having the milk cooler or warmer (my dd liked it warmer). Once your dc is used to it in the day, they might take it sometimes at night.

I sympathise, my dd was a total boob monster at night until well over 2yo.

You sound exhausted, kerp goibg as you are doing a brilliant job! She will get used to other ways of feeding, we went from boob to sippy cup at 11 months as dd2 bit onto my nipple and wouldn't let go- think of cartoons of stretched things. After that I slept on the air mattress downstairs, husband sorted her every night for about a week and then I was free! She still gets into bed with me, she's 5, she's still clingy but she's not attached! We also did night time warm milk in sippy cup while watching a ceebeebies bedtime story. Good luck!

There’s no need to give your DD a bottle. By 12 months it’s recommended that bottles are stopped, so there’s no point in introducing bottles at nine months. I suggest using a baby cup instead. All babies eventually start eating solid food, my three were all different but they all made it onto proper dinners and drinking from a cup. I think you’re amazing @Mummymummy89 that you’ve given your baby such a great start.

I didn't use bottle at all as I went to sippy cup for DD's daytime meals. When she had stopped breastfeeding but still needed milk once at night I used sippy cup as well.
