For me it's -

Kids - MGMT
Fantasy - Mariah Carey

Both just make me well up in the most lovely way!

What's yours?

Ds1 - the whole of Hot Fuss by The Killers - he used to ask for 'helicopter munics' when he was about 2 (the start of the album sounds like a helicopter) and play along with his little musical instruments.

Ds2 - Superstar by Sonic Youth. I remember singing it to him when he was a tiny baby.

I miss having cassettes and CDs to play on repeat in the car.
We had loads of freebie CDs from Sunday supplements and a few Greatest Hits. All those tunes and the order they were in remind me of long journeys with the children. Now it’s just random songs on the Bluetooth, if that…

We made Dire Straits sing “Money for nothing and your CHIPS for free” for DC2.

I still do! (CDs at least).
I rotate The Greatest Showman, Barbra Streisand, and Phantom of the Opera.
Love driving - preferably motorway or big A roads, so that I can "sing" along

You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me by Dusty Springfield. The line that gets me is “You don’t have to stay forever, I will understand” 😭

Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You.

Sam Smith’s Stay With Me. Most of the lyrics aren’t a fit but I was trying to stop cosleeping when the song came out and the line “Stay with me… I don’t want you to leave” reminds me of trying to disentangle myself from a sleeping toddler who’d wake as soon as I got to the door.

Katy Perry’s Roar because my son LOVED it and played it endlessly.

James Morrison - You Make it Real

It came on the radio on the way back from egg transfer for DD1, came on DHs playlist on the drive with DD1 back from the hospital, then came on the radio again when I found out I was pregnant with DD2
