Is this normal?? She's so desperate to crawl and so annoyed that she can't. Surely this can't go on for much longer?? Anything I can do to help her??

She will do it in her own time. Have you tried putting a favourite toy on the floor just so she can try and crawl to it.

I got my three crawling at that stage by building a stacking tower just out of their reach. At first they'd crawl backwards (which is normal but frustrating for them) but they were so determined to knock the tower down they soon figured it out.

I remember my DS being in this stage for about 3 months. I don't know which of us was more annoyed by the end! For DS, the problem was his massive head which he couldn't quite coordinate with the rest of him so there wasn't much I could do other than wait for his strength to catch up.

Have you really left your dc for a month on all fours??

Was that addressed to me? I mean, no. He's 4 now. But yeah, between about 8 and 11 months, he spent a lot of time on all fours trying to crawl and not succeeding. He then walked about a month later 🤷🏻‍♀️

Got you. Total sense of humour bypass on my part 😂

My now almost 7yr did the same. Then went backward for a few weeks and would get backed into a corner and cry as couldn't go forward

Few weeks later was fine

Funny thinking about it

They all get there in their own time

Crawl around on the floor in front of her, that sometimes works
