Still always shattered. 6 months on

My baby is 6 months, for the last month I've stopped breastfeeding except in the night. She sleeps pretty well, usually down for 7.30-8. Wakes up 1:30-2:30 for a quick breastfeed. Then later on for a quick cuddle & dummy reinsertion. Then up between 7.30-8am.

Sometimes she wakes 4:30/5:30 & doesn't go back to sleep for an hour, but that's not too often. She's then asleep til 9ish.

23 month old is usually down by 8.30/9. Sleeps through til 7/7.15ish. Sometimes wakes 6.30.

So, I'm often sleeping 10.30pm until 6.30/7.15, with a couple of wake ups. Toddler is at nursery 2 days a week, partner at work 4 long days (6.30-6.45pm). Some nights I'm asleep by 9pm

I eat lots of rubbish on the 2 nursery days, but diet is good other than a few biscuits the other days and 1 either take away/fast food/oven pizza a week

I have no reference to when toddler was this age, as by the time she was 5 months I was pregnant so starting to have early nights not long after.

I feel absolutely done in!!!!

You've got a toddler and a baby! You are basically on duty 25/7 and have been for a few years. No wonder you're done it.

Baby sleeps so well tho. Fitbit may say 8.5hr total. That's loads!

Lack of sleep isn't the only thing to make us feel tired. Having two that young is hard physically, emotionally and mentally...which is so tiring!

Of course youre tired! I bet you get vrry little time to recharge!

I think it’s just how much you’re doing, and the physical/mental/emotional load. You must never be ‘off duty’.

DS is 2.5 nearly, sleeps 10 hours a night plus nap. I usually get about 8 hours. My diets not awful but I dont get any exercise or time for me. But I work shifts in a demanding job and and I permanently absolutely shattered. I went to the GP and bloods etc and they were fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s just a hard hard season. Hugs!

Tiredness isn't just from a lack of sleep. It is also from mental exhaustion. I was talking about this today with my sister. We were saying how we are not REALLY tired as we would just knock off when the kids do. Instead we are just mentally exhausted. I have a 22 month old and a 7 month old. It is exhausting and I am done by the end of the day.

Similar age gap to me then. It is draining. But very glad we did it this way, to overlap the hardest years.. next year I'll be working 3 days a week. And hopefully start to get one evening to myself to get back into my hobby of rock climbing 🤞

Thank you all. I was thinking why on earth am I this absolutely wiped out when every morning I look at my sleep data and it looks OK!

On that note, I'm sat on the sofa half hour, not even turned the TV on. Toddler still making noise upstairs with partner. But decided to go up to bed. At that instance baby woke up from toddlers racket 🤦🏾‍♀️

I am glad too. Don't forget it is just a phase, every thing passes as quick as it comes. One day we will look back and laugh at these crazy nights and days whilst experiencing crazier nights and days!

I'll be going back 3 days a week too! And am looking on Facebook marketplace for a baby piano as we speak! ... I miss having hobbies.

Might be worth getting your thyroid, b12, iron, ferritin, vit d and red blood cell count checked. They often go out of whack after a pregnancy and can make you absolutely exhausted.
