10 year old needing deodorant and hair removal

My just turned 10 year old dd has started puberty. She now needs to use deodorant, a roll on, any suggestions which would be best please? Also, she is very aware of the dark hair on her legs and has been asking for a while to get rid of it. Did think about bleaching, any kind hair removal methods for someone her age? Thanks so much for any advice.

I've just bought a new deodorant from Tesco called fussy, it's natural and refillable. It might also score some eco cool points if she's into that. I got it out of my bag at work looking for something else and our apprentice was very intrigued, although she is 18 not 10 , apparently it was on dragons den 🤷‍♀️

I got DD mitchum or sure antiperspirent. But swap to deodorant only for summer. I got our a electric shaver for hair. It's very easy to use.

@Sunseaandsand1 Don't know. But 12yo asked about starting with Lumea too.

I started my daughter off with those little handsize sheets you rub off tge hair with

Wild you can now get them in supermarkets so don't necessarily need the subscription

I always struggled to find a deodorant that lasted a day and with this I don't notice if I forget one day.

I got my niece one when she was 12 and she loves that she doesn't feel self conscious after pe like she used to and the case doesn't look like deodorant so she doesn't fear others seeing it in her bag. I got hers from the site and paid for her name to be engraved on it which she was over the moon about!

They have sensitive range too if they have sensitive skins

Can't advise on the hair removal but my 8yo uses Wild deodorant (you can buy it and it's refills on Amazon) and really likes it. Smells nice and works.

My dd (age 11 at the time) used Veet cream for her legs and thought it was a miraculous!

If you have the budget for it, maybe get a few different products for her (or take her shopping and go through the options), so she can find methods / products she likes.

Agree that if she’s self-conscious then it’s fine to remove - an electric razor good for this age - but I work with student-age kids and many of the girls are now actively choosing to display body hair, especially leg hair, these days rather than remove it!

Wow, that's amazing!!

If you can afford it, waxing is best given it lasts longer and regrowth is less itchy and obvious than after shaving.
