Baby clothing to protect against mosquitos?

Going to visit in laws on an island that has quite a bit of dengue circulating right now. Baby will be 10m. The aedes aegyptii mosquito is out in the daytime so one of the protective measures is to wear long sleeve clothing and trousers. Given we'll be in the Caribbean I need some super lightweight stuff, and it must be second hand as can't spend much for a 2 weeks holiday. Any ideas on how to find it? I've started by typing 'lightweight trousers' in Vinted and a few things have come up. Any other ideas? The shops are of course now in Winter mode or I might consider some bits from H and M or other more affordable places. Don't need many items thankfully,

Linen trousers? I put my 6 month old in a few of these when we went to turkey ~28-30c. If they are in a pushchair can you buy a mosquito net or snoozeshade for when they are in that? The net could go over a travel cot too?

I'd try searching for 'summer' or 'holiday', I think. Quite often you get 'holiday bundles', so if you might get lucky and get a few bits all from one person to save on postage. H&M are usually good for summer stuff made of actually lightweight materials to help with the filtering.

Really good points, thanks so much! Won't be in pram but the linen and the filter key words will work I think. Thanks!

When we travelled with our baby we used light cotton or linen but the most important thing was repellent, look for picaridin. The baby vie repellent worked well for us too but picaridin is the most effective and not as nasty as deet. Managed 3 months without a single bite!

That's brilliant. I've bought Incognito which uses PMD, a new technology, hopefully works! Will use picaridin if it doesn't work.

Try searching hamman trousers they are super cute lightweight cotton trousers with elasticated ankles. Good for you too!

also try tshirt hoodies as a search term for lightweight long sleeves with a hood for extra sun protection

I don’t have any advice on clothing but do on repellents! We used incognito mosquito spray, it’s absolutely brilliant (but expensive) I sprayed it onto my hands and dabbed it onto baby's exposed skin (can use on 6 months plus). It works for me and they think I’m an all you can buffet usually. I also got some mosquito repellent stickers for children on Amazon, you put it on their clothing and squeeze and you can smell the strong citronella. She didn’t get one bite and we were in France, stopping near a lake.
