It hasn't responded to the usual aveeno creams etc, and been around just over a week! Only on the face too. Thanks!

How old is your baby? It just looks like baby acne to me 😊

It looks like a milk rash to me. My ds got something similar when he had to use bottles for a week and the milk would drip down to under his neck

That was my first thought too, especially if baby is only a few weeks old and it's just on the face.

I have zoomed in more now and think I would get dc seen at the chemist as aveeno must not be working. It does look really firey

How old is baby? Are the spots raised or flat? Teething at all? It looks a bit like where mine used to dribble while sleeping and their skin would get sore from lying in it.

IDoNotMoisturise · 31/10/2023 14:32

yeah sweat rash

Baguette2021 · 31/10/2023 14:37

Sorry, should have said - 6 months so not baby acne!! And I would have assumed dribble rash but for the fact it's round his right eye! Spots are raised and the skin is quite rough.

Milk rash or generally a rash from having a wet face. Apply E45 cream a few times a day (this worked for mine this year)

My DS got this constantly when he was a baby. He's 2 now and still gets it under his chin sometimes. We tried everything but the only thing that made a tiny bit of difference was slathering on Sudocrem at bedtime and keeping it well moisturised the rest of the time with something like E45. Good thick bibs and changing them regularly helped too. You just need to keep an eye out for it drying out and getting sore in the colder weather.
