As title said really. I would love some advice. My daughter will be 2 months old next week. She has been a great sleeper since she was born. Always having a nice long stretch in the night. My struggle is I can't get her to go to sleep sooner! She usually sleeps for the night at about 1am. She then wakes up between 8-11am for a feed and goes straight down again for a while. It's amazing as I'm getting a nice long stretch of sleep too but I'm not liking the idea that she goes to bed so late.
I've tried to put her to bed earlier. But she always wakes up again and again. It's like she has a switch or smt. Is there even a point of trying to make her go to bed earlier? I always thought that sleeping earlier helps them rest better and get better quality of sleep.

Sounds like it could be day/night confusion where they sleep during the day and are up at night. Google has lots of helpful tips and information. Good luck!

I know it’s really annoying when people tell you that it could be worse… But 7-10 hours stretch is so amazing!

When she wakes at 8-11am it might be worth trying to get her up for the day, put lights on etc so that’s her morning wake up time. And then further sleeps will be daytime naps. That might help her be ready to start her next night time sleep earlier.

Oh dear. I know I can't complain as I'm not up every couple of hours. I was just wondering whether I should make the effort to move bedtime earlier or whether she is too young and there is no point t as I won't manage it and I should just go with the flow.

I used to get 2.5 hours between ds crying his head off for his next feed.

I really think you're expecting too much asking for any more than you're already getting.

It's very early days so this will pass, I don't think there's anything you can really do. Things are totally random for first 12 weeks and then tend to settle down gradually, don't worry about trying to change this, it will sort itself out as she gets used to the world.

It will pass.

Totally normal for newborns to have a late bedtime.
