Zero routine for baby

I had my third baby nearly 4 months ago and my other two children are 7&9 so it feels like quite a long time since I had a baby. I feel like I'm coping pretty well, not much sleep deprivation or anything but I feel utterly clueless on how to start a routine for my baby..I know for a fact she's not getting enough sleep in the day and I feel that's because there is no routine in place and she'll mostly contact nap or sleep in the car. The evenings are a mess, me and my partner have to eat dinner quickly as she tends to get upset not being held yet I know she should be in bed asleep by 6 or 7pm. For example,.tonight I BF her she fell asleep on me after the feed and I rocked her a bit more and put her in the crib upstairs. She slept fine until I stupidly went into the room and woke her by kicking the door. She obviously woke up and I tried to put her down again and she was having none of it so consequently she's ended up downstairs again on her play mat, clearly exhausted because she keeps whinging but I can't bear her screaming when put down in the crib as she's awake. Where on earth so I start? I feel like BF doesn't help either if I'm honest she's quite reliant on the boob to sleep. Thanks for reading if u got a his far!

At 4 months my daughter went to "bed" at 8 sleeping next to us downstairs then went into her cot at 10 waking every 2-3h through the night on a good night and every half hour on a bad night.
A routine started around 8 months and wouldn't reliably go down in the evening until after 1. She has been slow to develop sleep independence but I would say the majority of her peer group didn't develop a reliable night routine around 3-6 months and a reliable routine going from the evening to morning around 5-8 months

I usually breastfed by DD to sleep, especially when she was little. I had to stop bf at 18 months and it wasn't a problem. She fell asleep with us singing to her in bed if I remember rightly.
