I'm currently working full time and I have a 1 hour drive to and from work. This also includes the nursery drop off 4 days each week.

Has anyone done this before? How have you coped? I'm wondering if I should try and leave the job. It's a new role, I recently started after completing my maternity leave in September.

I've never left a job this soon before so worried about quitting and how it will look. Also finding remote roles arent that easy. However I'm drowning. Hubby helps but has a senior role and can't always be there.

Are you finding it too much? If yes, maybe you shld leave providing money's not an issue. As for us that do it, we just do. What does your dh do? Why is his career more important than yours?

One parent drops off and the other picks up, so less pressure as will have got in early / can stay late.

However, if the hour includes the several minutes that it takes to drop off / collect, that isn't that unusual.

Also, it depends on your job - do you do things you can offer to take home / do at home in the evening, and therefore works 30mins or an hour less at your place of work ? Or not take / take a shorter lunch break ?
