The clocks change in couple of weeks. Any tips on how to adjust sleep / nap times in advance for this?

It's only one hour. I'd just go with the flow 😜

TheBestSpoon · 16/10/2023 06:44

Not all babies are fans of going with the flow! We've always done it by moving bedtime gradually over a few nights - 20 mins on Friday, 20 on Saturday and 20 on Sunday, then you're good for the next week.

We used to just change it on the day to be honest due to work/childcare we couldn't really spread it. Would do a slightly later nap (or 2 naps) and slightly later bed

Sometimes it resulted in waking at the right time in the morning sometimes we had a few days of early mornings and grumpiness!

I never did anything differently

I did nothing, set hours seem to bring problems. I found they slept far later if was dark anyway

Keep routine to the new times they settle to it in a day or so

Guiltyfeethavegotnorhythm0 · 16/10/2023 08:15

You don't really have to do anything ,just get up the next day as usual .

DustyLee123 · 16/10/2023 08:16

I didn’t, just went with it.

octodrive · 16/10/2023 08:19

I used to alter mine at lunchtime 30 mins Saturday then 30 mins Sunday and work with the time on the clock for usual routine.

SarahLHs · 16/10/2023 08:24

We also change bedtime gradually, 15 minutes a night starting on Thursday so that by Sunday night they're due to go to bed at the right time. We've never had any issues with clock changes,
