Leaking nappy = bladder control??

DD is almost 18 months and for the last few days her nappies have got full much quicker than normal and leaked out the side.(Just talking about wee here not poo!) I read that one of the signs of getting bladder control is going from a dry nappy to wet very quickly. (During the night this hasn't happened). Any ideas/advice? could there be something else wrong? Do I just need bigger nappies?! Had decided not to start potty training her until at least age 2 as I am expecting DC2 in 4 months, but at this rate I will need to start changing her practically every hour.....

What sort of nappies are you using?

have you tried the biggest size for her weight i.e. according to the size guides ds could get into size 4+, 5 and 5+ so I use 5+ as you get more absorbancy that way.

I would sgree with Seona and try to go up a size if poss. If it is only the last few days it has been happening you might have a bad batch of nappies . You could also try those disposable booster pads but that would be pretty expensive for every nappy and shouldn't be necessary for such a young toddler IMO.
