Hi everyone,

I’ve just discovered Miss Rachel on YouTube and was wondering if there is a similar youtuber/presenter who is English? Any suggestions of other stuff your almost 2 year olds like to watch, preferably learning-based?

We watch Cocomelon, In the Night Garden or Mr Tumble. Nothing against America (or the accents) but I find the programmes and speaking much louder and just a bit too much sometimes, if you know what I mean?!

Thanks

We watch a lot of Ms Rachel. I think the reason you might find it "too much" is simply that she aims her videos at kids with speech delay (even though they are clearly popular with many families) and the "Look, a yellow car! You got a YELLOW. CAR." style is useful in enunciating, teaching etc. I have two incredibly verbal two year olds and tbh I quietly attribute much of that to Ms Rachel.

Hi @Captainobvious35
Miss Rachel is a favourite in our house too. I haven't found anyone as good as her x

Same. And I haven't found anyone else as good. OP, she gets less annoying over time, I'm almost fond of her now 😂

Sorry to jump on, but what age would you say Miss Rachel is suitable from?

Thanks guys, I did find her to be engaging and my LO loved her, just got to get used to the extra-ness of it I guess!

Caitie’s Classroom! (But she’s Canadian) Ms Rachel drives my husband mad but he likes Caitie. Baby loves both!

CBeebies is great and everything is much calmer and slower. I can't stand the American stuff either, it's so loud and fast.

I haven't found anyone as good as Ms Rachel either and I have looked. My son has picked up quite a few American sounding expressions from her which is a downside but overall I think she's had a really positive effect on his speech. He's 23 months old and I think his speech is amazing for his age and he has known all his colours for months now, can count to 10 and say most of the alphabet.
