When did your postpartum joint pain improve?

As title says....aching wrists, ankles, mostly knees... do I have to wait until I stop breastfeeding and the relaxin goes away?? Have seen a physio, 6 weeks in of some strength work and no real improvement yet. Baby is 6 months, planned to bf for a year... not sure I can stand the sore old lady joints for another 6 months !!

I still had a bit after I stopped BFing. Not sure I noticed when it went, but definitely after my milk went

Following with interest as baby is 7 months today, ebf and my joint pain is horrendous 😫

Mine stopped as soon as I stopped breastfeeding and my periods came back.
I then experienced the same thing when I started skipping periods due to peri menopause. HRT has assisted with this.

Mine stopped after about 7 months? It was awful but definitely hormonal and cleared up pretty quickly!

Thank you everyone for your replies. Looks like we were all pretty much affected until bf stopped... anyone find anything that helped the pain in the interim? I am icing and taping and the physio says I have lost a lot of strength (quads, hips, hamstrings) which won't be helping. Haven't seen much progress yet although the ice and taping does provide temporary relief.

@calorcalorcalor thanks for your reply. Were you breastfeeding still when the pain went away?
