14 month signs of ASD?

Hello I’ve just being wondering if my daughter sounds like she could be potential to be on the spectrum. I know it’s too early to tell for her age but there’s some things what stick out for me. She hates her hands and feeding being touched instantly pulls away, she doesn’t really play with toys for long they just end up in her mouth all the time. She has lost her ability to wave and clap and she’s still yet to weight bare independently and walk.

She's very young. All of the things you're giving as examples sound like normal behaviour for her age.

Like you say, it is all far too early to tell yet. I know lots of children that weren't walking at 14 months. What you should do for now is keep an eye on things and parent the child that you have, not the one that the books tell you to have. You will know more as she gets older.

My children are autistic and it does add extra layers of complexity and stress. They are wonderful, loving, interesting characters and bring a lot to my life.

I've got three autistic kids and none of them were anything like you describe.

The 3 main red flags for autism are issues with communication , issues with social interaction and repetitive behaviours. At 14 months she's not too young to show signs. My son did then too and still does. His repetitive behaviours are off the chats. He'll go through phases of saying the same phrase over and over , spinning things , doing the same action or behaviour over and over. His communication and social interactions are OK at home but when we take him out he won't interact with other children or peope , won't go on playground equipment , instead he spends his time picking up sticks and leaves but if its too busy he will not move at all and just stands there. He also has huge sensory issues with food, clothing , being dirty , washing , nappy changes, loud noises. He's 22 months now and the older he gets the more obvious his issues become.
What you are describing doesn't sound atypical for a 14 month old but if you are concerned then contact your health visitor
