Vitamin D contradiction?

Can someone help me understand something? According to the NHS my 3-year-old should take a supplement containing 10 micrograms of vitamin D a day (see attached screenshot from NHS website). She’s been having the Boots multivitamins with Omega 3 which do contain this amount of Vitamin D, but we ran out today so my husband has tried to get another one at the supermarket and has found that all the ones on the shelf only contain 5 micrograms. Why would they all only contain half the amount recommended by the NHS? It seems mad to me that multiple companies would go to the trouble of manufacturing multivitamins for kids and not adhere to NHS guidance on vitamin D? I would understand if it was just the cheaper own-brand or something but the named brands are the same. I have also noticed now on the Boots ones that the label says the 10 micrograms is 200% of NRV (see attached). What?! Am I just sleep deprived or is this really confusing? Has guidance changed? I think I am disproportionately stressed about this but please humour me!

The NRV is 5mcg.
The NRV list was devised at a certain point in time based on agrreed upon science at that time.

But science advances and advice changes. Public Health England guidelines since 2016 are for 10 mcg (400 IU) for those aged over 1.

Personally myself (and adult) I take 4,000 IU daily which is 10x the NHS guidelines themselves which are pitifully low - so these guidelines are only that, but of course for young children you would want to stick to the guidelines and not give a large dose without a doctor.

I had a friend (adult) who had low VitD levels so she was given 20,000 IU in a single dose each week for a while.

Yep, everyone seems to have a omg over me taking 4000 daily
My vitamin D level was 9 in 2020 and I've got it up to 66 now. But that took a high dose course of 25,000 weekly and consistently taking 4000 daily
1000 wouldn't have touched the sides
