Clothing advice for 11m old chunk

My second DS is long (longer in body than legs) and broad. My first was long (long legged) and skinny so all those clothes I'd kept don't quite fit!
I find he needs to size up for the body but then the legs are tripping him up.
But he's bursting out of 9-12m even though the length is good.
I think he might end up having to be constantly in leggings for the stretch... But can anyone recommend shops that are good for chunky babies/shorter babies (thinking of sizing up but in a shop that comes up short, if I can find it).

Thanks

Leggings/ jeans and roll the hem up a few times.

Asda clothes are pretty roomy, can’t remember if they were short but they’re certainly wide, I had a chonk and then a slimmy and nothing that fit the first baby ever fit the second, all the hand-me-downs looked like pillowcases😜 sports clothes are your friend, tracksuits with elasticated bottoms etc. not the most elegant but what can you do!

My DS is shaped like this. Long in the body and short in the legs with big feet. I never bothered with baby grows for him and always put him in leggings/ joggers and a T-shirt or vest in the next size up to fit his long body. I find Tesco clothes are fine

Next is good for my shorter (9th centile) but chunkier (50th centile) DD. She's 17 months but still wearing some 9-12 leggings. I like the cuffed ones as they don't trip her up. She also fits their 12-18 length wise, whereas everywhere else still downs her!

Frugi and Little Green Radicals and anything cut for children wearing cloth nappies. Good supplies on Vinted second hand

I always found my sons M&S clothes to be roomy but short on arms and legs. I usually start my DS off wearing his next up size in M&S clothes just as he is starting to outgrow his current size as they are the shortest so nice for when he is in between sizes.

Hi, i have the same and find Matalan leggings great plus they have the kind with the feet which saves losing socks everywhere :)

No advice as mine had the opposite problem D she was born in the 5th percentile but simply sharing in your frustration how difficult it is to find well fitting baby clothing. With mine I had to choose between the band size fitting but her ankles showing or legs covered but loose band and pants falling off. Very frustrating especially in the winters. Ended up having to get very thick long winter socks to remedy it. It’s a little bit easier now that she is two though and has gone up to the 20th percentile.

This is exactly what I used to do with my 1st
As he was long legged I found H&M great but would use Tu/tesco & asda when he was in between.

That's great thanks!
