Weaning 10 month off breastfeeding - need to go away for work in two weeks!

My 10 month old is currently breastfed, waking up 3-4 a night to feed and having a morning and 7pm feed. We have recently started introducing formula for his daytime feeds, as he has started going to a childminder and I’m back at work.

I need to go away for 3 days in a couple weeks time, and I am nervous about how to manage this - what can I do to make this easier? My partner will be with him, but we have never tried formula in the night, it’s always me settling him.

Thanks so much wise women!

Following as I am in a similar position and interested what advice you'll get. My DD won't take a bottle and breast feeds to sleep for all naps but I'll be back to work soon so I'm stressing

Are you wanting to stop completely or continue once you're back?

Happy to stop completely but also happy to pick it up again when I’m back - whatever is easier!

So I had 4 days where I was unable to feed due to medication. We knew for a month before, I introduced a small 1oz bottle of milk every day and increased the amount. We tried loads of different bottles to find which she liked most. Then introduced my partner giving a bottle at a wakeup once a night. It didn't go down very well at first but she did get used to it. If you intend to feed once you're back then you will need to pump while you're away. Otherwise you maybe just need to express a little if you're getting uncomfortable.
