has or is anyone doing a postgraduate degree and has got enough funding to pay for childcare. I need £7000 a year to purely pay for childcare for my 2 year old.

Some universities have burseries for childcare - if you know where you want to apply you should ask about that. I didn't qualify as dh is earning a fairly good income. I have a maintenance grant of about 12,000/year (pretty standard for a PhD) and I pay 3 days/week nursery out of that for dd (2.5 yr old). There wouldn't be enough left over to live on though if it weren't for dh.

I don't qualify for a childcare grant either due to dp's salary, but i get the pt equivalent of 15,000/year as a maintenance grant which covers childcare at a nursery with a little to spare.
