What age?

According to my 9 year old play parks are “boring” now. They have done up most of the parks round here now so they are a bit more babyish than they use to be but we went to one today aimed at older kids and he still complained it was boring! What age did your kids grow out of parks? (Playgrounds)

Mine is 11.5yo and can still run around a park if the wind blows a certain direction. But his same-aged (female) cousin wouldn't be seen dead climbing and going down slides! Don't know if being female makes a difference. We have some very cool park equipment where we live, so can avoid the parts aimed at toddlers/6 yos.

Without friends about 8/9.

Happy to play if friends were there until high school started (and beyond tbh).

My 12yo was disappointed this summer as she was just a bit to tall for the obstacle trail at the park.

It really depends on the park... shes a climber, so any excessively tall climbing structure and shes off.
Her sister (10yo) prefers a companion.

Probably 10 with decent equipment, like a giant net, though he was climbing to the top of those at 3 so really needed something more. Still likes climbing trees! The trouble is that most equipment is more suitable for under 8s, there aren't enough decent playgrounds for older kids.

This.

Ds did his cycling proficiency in year 5, so as soon as he got bored with parks we took to cycling instead. After a couple of years, when I was happy that he was safe (ish) on the roads, and one of his friends was equally competent, I just turned them loose with their bikes and a rucksack full of snacks & water.

We live rurally so I just suggest a couple of places to visit and leave them to it. There's a common nearby with a cycle track with lots of bumps and jumps, so they go there a lot.
