Jet lag & flight advice for taking 13m old on long flight

I’ve been asked to be a bridesmaid in Missouri (it’s about a 10hr flight) but my LO will be 13months. I’m a sole parent but (if I go) will travel with grooms parents. Wondered advice on 1) coping with a 10hr flight but also 2) jet lag; ie how to help him change his schedule to the new time zones (once there & back). Thanks

I would definitely try and get a late flight - so it would be a time the baby would be sleeping the whole time anyway.
DS is 14 months and honestly I can't get him to sit and chill for 5 minutes! Even TV doesn't last long. They are usually close/trying to/already walking so trying to contain them is a nightmare!

In terms of changing to the time zone no advice im afraid. Hopefully someone else comes alone with advice there

Depending on the temperament of your child, that honestly sounds like a nightmare. But short term pain for a lovely holiday (hopefully). I suggest lots of snacks and get an aisle seat so you can walk up and down.
