Raising bilingual children

Hello. I am a welsh speaker and partner is English. We have always raised our son bilingually, and until the past 6 months our son was more dominant in Welsh, probably because he spends more time with me. However, since starting preschool (although they teach through welsh medium, most children are from English or welsh/English homes so inevitably speak English) and spending more time with his father as I'm nursing - we now have a 6 month old too, he is CONSTANTLY speaking English to me and it's driving me up the wall. Anyone have any tips to try and reverse this? In an ideal work I want him to speak welsh to me naturally, and English to his father, but he's being exposed a lot to English atm, especially as me and his dad have to converse in English too obviously. I feel like everyday im constantly telling him "welsh" and even then he's forgotten what use to come so naturally to him!

Just keep speaking to him in Welsh and don't worry. If he speaks to you in English, reply in Welsh. When mine was small she talked polyglot. It all gets sorted out in their heads eventually.

Just keep speaking Welsh. My kid didn't speak English (my language) until she was almost 4. She's 7 now and speaks 4 languages

You need to tough it out. When we spoke the "wrong" language to her, my mother just ignored us. I am very grateful she did.
It's a great gift you're giving him.

Yes I very rarely speak English to him, and when he speaks to me in English I'll always say (in Welsh) "I don't speak English/Say it in Welsh please". He understands it all in Welsh completely, just gone into the habit of using English first. Getting me down a bit as it's really important to me, so I hope you're all right.
