15 weeks old, sudden colic/worse wind?!

My baby is 15 weeks old now, he's always been quite a windy baby, no matter what we used (infacol, Dentinox colic drops etc) he's pretty much the same - he will bring up good burps after a feed but then right up until his next feed he will intermittently become fussy and have an extra burp. He could seem really settled, be having a nap, and then suddenly start squirming and we sit him up and pat his back and he will do a big burp, it's like they just come out of nowhere! They seem to be endless!
I don't think he's got any sort of intolerance or reflux as he feeds very well and doesn't squirm or resist, and isn't very sick - just small amounts sometimes when he burps. He poos well too. Lately he's become even more fussy (last 3 or so weeks) and works himself into a real screaming fit and it's always due to a burp because he will eventually let it out. It just seems to have gotten worse lately rather than better! Is this just a stage whilst they're still developing?! Am I missing something? Has anyone else gone through similar?

Are you bottle feeding or breast feeding?

my DD was the same, she was colicky and refluxy for first 4 months, we tried dentinox coilef gripe water.

the only thing that helped and made a difference was changing her bottles to dr browns and tommee tippee advanced anti colic burping her more frequently during feeds.

@wahmeh I am bottle feeding. And we have been using dr browns bottles since the start. Even when we wind him frequently he will still have trapped burps - right up until his next feed. Its honestly like his stomach continuously creates gas bubbles because we do every position to get the wind up - and he does bring it up. But he barely goes longer than 30-60 minutes before getting upset and then doing another burp. He doesn't have any other symptoms though, not sick, no signs of reflux etc - literally just this burping issue :(

It’s really hard, our DD used to burp up to 6/7 times each feed. She was a gassy baby and eventually grew out of it but it was so tough. It would be worth going to the doctor just to rule anything about about milk allergies etc

@wahmeh ah it is isn't it! I actually went to the drs this morning, they wasn't the most helpful to be honest but they did say they aren't concerned and it's something he will grow out of. Can you remember when your little one grew out of it?

Dr wasn’t helpful when we went either. I saw the most difference once she could sit up by herself and could burp herself. So abput 5-6 months but saw improvements from about 4.5 months onwards after we changed bottles. Maybe try the tommee tippee advanced anti colic as well? My dd did struggle initially with dr browns because of the teat.

are you formula feeding or pumping? We formula fed and one of the issues we think as well was the way we prepared formula, it was too frothy and made her gassy. We stirred the formula instead and that helped

It’s trial and error and it really does get better eventually, I feel for you! It’s hard and maybe it could be just growing out of it. Hang in there. My little girl was screaming for hours everyday and now she’s fine!
