9 month old hit head on floor from standing position

Hey guys, my 9 month old was standing and trying to walk (he’s trying to learn), and he fell forwards and hit his head on the floor face first, there was a loud bang! It was on a carpeted surface but the sound 🥺 he will be okay, right? He cried for 2-3 mins, I took him outside and he got distracted and stopped crying. This was half an hour ago. We’re in the car now and he’s falling asleep in his car seat. He was behaving normally before this

I would get him checked out to be honest.

I would get him checked out to be honest.

Even if he seems absolutely fine?

I personally would just keep an eye on him. If he'd fell off something onto a hard floor then yes, but most babies learning to walk will fall from standing very often (or at least mine did!)

He will be fine. Children fall over all the time when they are learning to walk.

If it's normal for him to fall asleep in his car seat in the car at 4pm (I'm guessing yes, very) then you don't need to get him checked because of that.

Unless there is anything more than hitting his head that makes you think there is a problem, carry on with your day.
The sleepy bit is checking he's conscious - so if you move his arm, does he snuggle back down (this will be hard to check unless there is an adult next to him in the car!).
If you rock up to A&E every time he falls, you will be spending a great deal of time there over the next few years!

Thank you so much guys. It’s very normal for him to sleep in his car seat at this time (he does everyday at this time). I’ll keep an eye on him 😊

Its worrying the first time it happens, but by the time you're on the 50th you'll panic less. They bang their heads a lot when learning to walk. Unless it's from a height or they show signs of concussion I wouldn't worry.
