Is it me or the nursery

My little boy turned 2 yesterday. He had attended the same nursery since he was 18 months. He has settled well and goes running in happily everytime I drop him off.

There is 1 particular member of staff which I took a disliking too. And since changed his days to when the manager is working. She is opinionated, abrupt and sounds as if she's never dealt with a child in reality!

The problem now is it is summer holidays, and she is working the days he is attending. He has been potty training for 1 week now, doing so well and I am so proud. He has little accidents through out the day at home and we have been on a few days out in the car also with few problems. He says 'it's coming' or 'wee wee on potty' most of the time when he needs to go.

Obviously I did not expect him to have no accidents at nursery, as it is a completely different environment, he's busy and different people!

When I dropped him off yesterday I explained to her, what we had been doing and that she will need to keep reminding him 'remember if you need a wee wee to go potty' he is only 2!

When I picked him up she was over the moon, he only had 1 little accident and had been on and off the potty like a yoyo. Said it was amazing and I had done really well with training.

Today was a different story! I waited ages for her to answer the door at collection time, to which she looked very stressed. Saying he'd had a bad day lots of accidents and had done a poo in his pants after lunch and was acting as if he was 'tramasied' (as you would!!) she said she thought he'd broken his arm or something the way he was screaming.

Told me I have to work on his words to create links before he returns to nursery next week. To tell them he needs to go.
He is 2!!

Bare in mine EVERY time I pick my son up from nursery he has a poopy nappy and I have to change it in the car park. I have mentioned this numerous times to staff and the manager.

Am I over reacting or is she being unfair? He has done so well and I don't want her seemily lack of patience to step him back. Surely if they know he goes for a poop after lunch everyday they should be insuring he is checked and clean for pick up?!

This is below the standard I would expect from a nursery

She's not saying they are giving up just to keep working on it over the next few days. I think you're dislike of her is clouding your judgement.

Needing a nappy change at home time every day is unacceptable though. But presumably that happens even if it's not her?

You've kept him in this nursery for 6 months despite the fact every day you collect he's been on a pooey nappy??

Move him ASAP!
