Help! Weaning breastfed baby to formula

I’m trying to stop breastfeeding my 7month old as I’m going back to work soon. She used to have a bottle then was poorly and didn’t have it for a few weeks and since then have refused it ever since I have bought multiple bottles and wasted so much money only thing she has drank 1oz out of is a tommee tippee sippy cup with a soft spout I’ve been trying daily with formula but she’ll just have a few sips then not interested and scream to be breast fed if anyone has any advice what’s worked for them I feel lost!

After much trial and error, this is what worked for us:

Anyone but me feeding. I had to be out of the house completely, usually.
Sitting on adult's knee, bolt upright, facing outwards so he could still see what was going on (may have incorporated some CBEEBies into this initially)
Only preprepared (bought in bottles) was acceptable.
Had to be the right temperature (can't remember what it was now).
Think we did some brand swapping, as the first we bought was fairly rank.

Said child remains fussy.

My second born was mix fed and we never skipped a day when we gave him one bottle as we weren't repeating that experience!

Good luck!

No advice but in the same position and desperate for my 5 month old to take a bottle

Thanks for advice, I think I’m going to have to try going out. Do you know what brand you ended up with currently using aptimal and I’m wondering if maybe she doesn’t like it and a brand switch might help

The only thing that worked for me is going away for the night. My 3rd baby was born with a metabolic disorder whereby she couldn't have milk so had no choice but to stop or she would die. She had to be nil by mouth for 24 hours in the hospital and then her first feed after that was a specialised formula.
So definitely separation is key. Maybe a weekend away and leave her with someone who has a lot of patience.

Not sure if it's an option for you but could you pump/hand express and mix with formula, then slowly reduce the ratio of breastmilk to formula?
