Knows that he has wet pants, but won't ask for potty.

DS has been trying potty training for the last week or so. Ask him "do you need potty?", answer always "No". Sit him on potty periodically, no results. Send him off again to play, and guaranteed he will be wet within ten minutes and will tell you that he is wet.
Ask him "What do you do if need wee?" beautiful answer of "ask wee potty"
I suppose I am looking for some help, tips or just support to keep going.

Hang in there for a while - it took my ds 3 weeks to get the hang of it. I tried bribery ie a choc button/smartie for every wee in the potty - worked for a while. If you don't want to use choc, how about a reward chart? I also used a chart for myself to see if there was any pattern to his accidents so I could put him on the pot at the appropriate time. This also allowed me to see his progress, no matter how small, which gave me some encouragement. I did not use pull ups when going out just big boy pants all the time. Tbh,after 3 weeks I was about give up then he woke up and asked to use the loo and there was no going back!
If he's not getting the hang of it after a couple more weeks, why not leave it for a couple of months?

He's not quite ready - knowing that he is wet is a good sign, but it's not quite the same as recognising the signal that he needs to go.

You have two choices really - carry on as you are, but recognise that he's not quite there and you will have a lot of accidents, or leave it for now and try again in a few weeks. Once he starts to recognise the feeling of needing a wee, he'll be dry in no time.

my ds is two. Just brought some feel and learn pants. He will sit on potty and then get off with nothing happened. Will then go off and as he is peeing on the floor will point to it. Any advice for me?
