When oh when will short naps end?

I know it is normal. I'm trying to just accept it for what it is. But baby taking 30, 20, sometimes even 10 minute (!) naps is getting me down.

Baby wakes up still tired but won't resettle and then we get into an endless loop of overtiredness which builds and builds throughout the day.

Please tell me when your baby started napping for longer. And please tell me it was 20 weeks and 1 day 😂 I can't take any more 10 minute power naps.

My DS was a horrible cat napper. I had time to make a quick coffee but never got to drink that coffee 😅 then they got a bit better around 6 months but only contact napping.

8 months it ended for us. He's 14 months now and naps amazingly in his cot for 2-3 hrs. I have to wake him up even sometimes... !!

Hold on hun. It will get better

8 months seems to be the sweet stuff for a few pp! Thank you 🩷 3 hours! The dream!!

Night sleep is ok, of course I'd like an uninterrupted night but normally down by 7:30pm and up at midnight and 3am for feeds, then up at 6 ish for the day. Which I can survive on for sure.
Sorry the nights are crap for you:( how often are you up?

I don't mind being up twice or even three times as as soon as my babe has finished the bottle they pass tf out! So it's a short wake for us both.

Ah that's good! Definitely survivable. My DD woke every 45 mins to an hour through the night from 4 months to I'd say 7ish months. Completely unable to link sleep cycles. Then recently it has changed to probably 3 wake ups. However sometimes the wake ups can be for 2 to 3 hours at a time (split nights) and she's completely wired! They're the worst.

We've mostly ended up cosleeping to survive but it has been unbelievably tough. It also helps that I have a brilliant DH who has shared the load.

Keep doing an amazing job OP! The long naps will come. In the meantime try and relax even when the baby is awake! When you need a hot cuppa and a rest, then plonk baby down for a bit to entertain themselves... even if it means sticking a bit of Miss Rachel (YouTube) on for a bit.
