My LO is 7m. One tooth has come through and there’s definitely more on the way
we haven’t slept well in over a week
LO wakes up every 1.5bhours to 2.5 hours…crying in pain nursing helps get them back to sleep.

what can I do!?
tried calpol didn’t seem to do much

Unfortunately not much you can do. Teething powders work sometimes but to varying results. I'm in the think of it as well and haven't even had the luxury of only being woken every 2 hours, it's been like every 30-45 minutes for me. As with all things, this too shall pass.

Have you tried anbosol? Can't remember the spelling but it's over the counter and a numbing agent. It's fantastic

Would also second the Anbesol and swap the baby Calpol for baby nurofen it's better for the teething xx

Mmm, 1.5 to 2.5 sounds blissful from where I’m sitting standing a quivering wreck Grin

Teething granules, anbesol (sp?), Nurofen easier to get into them than calpol as the dose is smaller so less for them to spit back in your face in disgust, pints of coffee and chocolate for you, knowing that eventually they get all their hundreds of teeth and find some other way to torture you.

Himawarigirl · 07/07/2023 19:01

Nurofen is better for teething as it helps reduce inflammation. I also found teething powders v helpful, I’d give them to my youngest twice a day (or however much was recommended) routinely when he was going through a bad patch. Don’t know if they really helped but they seemed to.

Thank u alll. I will go get some nurofen for baby tomorrow then!
we are using anbesol and the gels and the powders! It’s all so temporary though.

poor kids teeth and then lose them again ina few years lol

We've just had a hellish week with our youngest like this. Awake every 60-90 mins. You can use baby nurofen and calpol together so we gave her calpol then nurofen two hours later. It's brutal but it does pass.
