When did you move your little one to the pushchair?

We have a 3 month old DD and she hates the pram, always gets upset when she's in it and we think it's because she can see bugger all. She much prefers the car seat but obviously can't be in that for long periods of time. We're thinking of trying her out in the pushchair and see how she gets on but just wondering other peoples experiences?

4 months for the same reason. He was much happier in the pushchair when he could have a good look around and see me better. It did recline to be completely flat for when he was sleeping though

It’s not recommended until 6 months old as babies aren’t strong enough for the sit up position until that point. Unless baby is sitting independently.

If your pushchair almost lies flat it might be OK. We had an Uppababy Cruz and you can buy an insert for it that makes it suitable for newborns (in theory at least) so you could look at something like that. We swapped at around 5 months as she was getting too long for the bassinet and I wanted to start using the very cosy footmuff I had for the pram in cold weather.

Gosh, DD went in at 3 months because she refused to lay flat, screamed her head off. She was much happier strapped and reclined in a pushchair. Worth noting she was a big baby though.

We had our dc reclined in a lie flat pushchair from birth. It was much more compact and easy to fold than a bassinet which suited our lifestyle.

3-4 months. The buggy attachment of our pram could lie near on flat and we kept journeys short. It improved it a bit compared to the bassinet, but to be honest he wasn’t completely happy in it until he was upright and facing outwards at 5-6 ish months.

Around 4 months, he was able to sit up independently on the ground for a couple minutes at a time by then so I felt comfortable having him supported upright in the buggy.

Same here. I couldn’t afford tow or a travel system so got a lie flat buggy. I did use a sling with it though.
