Chickenpox help!

DD (19mo) was sent home from nursery with spots on Thursday (they appeared over the course of the morning while there). They have had a case of CP 2 weeks ago so it's probably been when she picked it up. Since then she has developed about 6 actual spots on her face, neck and arms/hands that are quite obvious and look like they have fluid in them. On her back and torso she is covered in tiny pin pricks that look like Insect bites but have never grown or changed into anything else - a couple have had red areas around them but the red areas change day to day and none of them have got bigger. She can't go back to nursery until blisters have scabbed over, but what about the ones that haven't become blisters? I was expecting them all to look the same but the blister ones look totally different to what's on her back/torso.

My dd had scarlet fever at the same time as chicken pox, which apparently isn’t that uncommon. Could she have two different rashes going on?

I hope not @Elisheva but it has crossed my mind. The thing is she has zero symptoms other than a snotty nose a few days ago. No fever or even grouchiness, which is good I suppose. I'm sort of doubting whether she definitely has CP but it seems likely given it has been in her nursery.

DD was the same, only a handful of spots. The Gp gave her antibiotics for the Scarlet Fever, but she wouldn’t take it because it’s the one that tastes horrible. She was fine!

Has anyone else had any experience of chicken pox with just a few spots / spots not blistering? We're on day 6 but no sign of anything changing. Nhs says 5-7 days and it should have cleared so feeling we should be seeing a change by now.

Might as well call 111. They'll know better than folks here will!

Don't count your chickens just yet. Our daughter was fine until day 5/6 and then suddenly overnight they blossomed and we had a few days of misery. You might get lucky and she only has a very mild case. She ended up being off nursery for a whole week, 10 days in total including weekends between first spot and going back. I'd give it another day or 2 to be confident.
