1 Year Old Rash

My 1 year old has a rash, comes out when outside. She was all sneezes and red eyes in the garden centre, which points to hay fever but online and TV Dr says unlikely under 1?
She is eating well and otherwise pretty normal other than her back teeth are emerging.
I am going to ring the Dr in the morning, but if anyone thinks it could be something more serious I will obviously act tonight.
Thoughts very welcome! Thank you x

Does it come and go when they’re outside, or did it just come on and stay?

How long has it been happening for?

Hayfever is babies is under researched but even if it’s unlikely it’s still possible. If I google it I get results like patient.com that say it’s very possible and other sites say it can be associated with eczema and rashes too.

I’d say if baby is generally well in themselves then just keep and eye on them and call their GP tomorrow or in the next few days. Not worth waiting at a&e tonight for hours with a grumpy baby.

GP will be able to suggest if there’s any antihistamines suitable for that age.

Just a mum! No medically trained. X

Thank you! No "just a" mum about it, mum is a qualification in itself.
For the last couple of weeks, but to a much lesser extent. Today and yesterday it came and didn't really fade as it usually does.
Thanks again, I am in Oldham so a&e would be a horror show...x

Just keep an eye.
Call GP tomorrow (mainly because if they’re having hayfever there’s nothing OTC you can really give them).
It could also be a coincidence/cold/teething(although the medical professionals swear down there are no other symptoms to this - too much anecdata swears otherwise 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️)

Obviously look out for red flag things like them going floppy, bulging head, wheezing or shortness of breath and you know, other baby obviously ill stuff.

You can try the glass trick to see if it fades under a glass which if it doesn’t can be one warning sign of something more dramatic (but that’s not as common a symptom as other things such as floppy or temperatures etc).
