Toddler fell out of trampoline, landed on head/neck

WWYD? She is 19mo.I had the zip open as DD6 had just got out and I had gone to pop the hose away and was then walking over to help toddler get off, so witnessed the incident, which was that she sort of tumbled out head-first and i then did a sort of somersault landing on her head and neck. She cried alot after, but not for long, and has been totally fine since. She has been up for several hours after and behaving as her normal cheeky self.
She is now asleep.

Debating whether to get her checked out or at least call for medical advice in the morning for peace of mind.

Just to clarify, I don't let her bounce on the trampoline at her age (or be on there when others are) her and DD were just sitting on there doing some drawing. But going to be extra careful watching her now and making sure the isn't on there with the zip open, even for seconds.

How far dis she fall?

My little boy is 2 months older and took a cracker of a fall off a bench, face first onto concrete last week, it was a big drop. I instantly thought we’d need to go to hospital as I went to scoop him up but when I looked it up it said you should keep them awake for at least 2 hours and look for any signs of concussion. He was absolutely fine and wasn’t in the slightest bit bothered so didn’t end up having to go but I would always assume you would need to for something that bad! Check the symptoms on the nhs website and if you’re at all worried either phone or go in

The height of the trampoline is 46cm/18inches, although not sure if she was standing or sitting when she fell out.

Thanks so much, this is really reassuring.Glad your little boy is ok! It did look quite dramatic, but not been any particular cause for concern with her, just want to make sure I shouldn't be getting her checked out, so will probably give them a call in the morning and see what they say.

It's never a bad idea to get medical advice but if there are no head injury symptoms, then that's a good sign.

We all have stories of our (now perfectly fine) kids landing on their head and we all felt enormously sick at the time (and even now thinking about it) so we all know what you're going through.

I hope you're both ok Flowers

Thankyou for your supportive words! She stillseems fine this morning, but will probably just ring and make sure that they don't want to check her over or anything x
