Please share any pearls of wisdom, I do find myself worrying about the future due to a past decision I made (very long story!) I think I am overthinking or so I have been told which leads to me Catastrophising for the future. Please help x

Yes it isnt linked directly to the regret I have.. but on the back of that I am very aware (probably overthinking) of how crap this world is and how challenging it can be. Like all parents I want them to be ok x

Did you sleep train? I think that’s a big regret many parents have.

If so - move on and just make sure you are responsive and always emotionally available.

It’s a tough one. ‘Keep your head where your feet is’ is a good phrase I heard this week.

It’s hard to progress and get anything done though unless you think about the future, so it is necessary. Just no point worrying about the future - cross that bridge when you come to it etc. They say that worrying/pre-empting stressful scenarios (what would i do if my husband died, what would I do if I got cancer etc) is a coping mechanism for anxiety, as it’s nice to have a plan.

You can’t change the past, and it led you to where you are now. With regards to your kids futures - just raise them to be resilient and forward thinkers/change makers/kind to those around them/a good person.

By practicing mindfulness, when your mind drifts to past mistakes or future fears, bringing it back to the moment and the thing you are doing

Thank you. Can you advise on how you develop resilience in kids? X
