I think that’s the brand name. The one with the little arms but still enclosed? Anyone used them? Reviews plssss?

due another winter baby and I was so paranoid (stupidly) about overheating for my baby that I only put a thin blanket on him (until big enough for sleep bag) and I’m quite sure it got us a lot more wake ups than needed

So considering this this time round to keep DC2 nice and warm but I don’t know the arms being so enclosed scares me?? Do they not get uncomfy in that position? Or does it not matter because while theyre small they wake and don’t sleep big big stretches anyway

I had these, they worked with out of my 3 kids. They worked well with her. The other two weren't so fussed for them.

She was an April baby, it was hot so she just wore a nappy underneath on hot nights. The material is quite thin and stretchy.

Have a look on Vinted or eBay for second hand ones as they are expensive. They do retain some value though and can be sold on again if your LO doesnt like them.

They worked with one of my 3 kids, that should say!

Neither of mine liked them. I found the gro snuggle better and much more versatile as it can do arms in or out. DD sucked her thumb so wanted her arms out and tried to suck through the LTD. Whereas my DS loved being swaddled but the LTD wasn’t swaddley enough for him. Then he rolled at 7 weeks so we had to release him and as it was unexpected I’m glad we had the option to unpopper the gro snuggle bag we already had. Both did decent sleep stretches from newborn but I don’t know how much I can credit that to their sleeping bags!

Mine loved his when he was tiny Smile

My October baby loved them. I was gutted when he rolled and we had to transition to sleeping bags

avidteadrinker · 15/06/2023 20:43

Mine loved it, went from restless sleep (for us all) to sleeping really well, was a god save!

honeyyyi · 15/06/2023 20:43

Ah so it’s kind of stretchy? I was worried it was rigid and once you popped their arms in they couldn’t move!

im due end of jan so could have baby mid feb if I run over etc, so it would just be for those little days as in around May in the UK it’s started heating up!

Oh god I adored my little girl in one of those. My son didn’t like it at all when I tried him in it. It’s very thin stretchy fabric. Arms up by the head is a natural position for newborns and they only go in it til they can roll.

Rosebud1302 · 15/06/2023 21:58

My son adored his. It was like a little miracle to get him to stop crying and actually sleep haha. Not rigid at all. They look utterly adorable too. And I liked you could take one arm out at a time so it wasn't too dramatic of a change. Then we used it as a normal sleeping bag for ages when his arms were out.

Lemonaida · 15/06/2023 22:03

1 of my 3 loved these and the other 2 didn't. For the one that did it was great, really improved his sleep and like others say it's stretchy and he used to suck his hands in the little arm bits to fall asleep sometimes. The other 2 preferred a traditional swaddle where the arms are wrapped around themselves like a hug.

Definitely check out Vinted, I've just sold/am selling all my old ones and they've retained their value quite well.

MooMa83 · 15/06/2023 22:06

Mine didn't like it, but she hated being swaddled generally.

Cdl84 · 15/06/2023 22:11

Yes, worked well for my terrible sleeper. Was still able to move arms a bit / rub faec / chew hands through the bag, but stopped them startling awake.

trrk · 16/06/2023 20:07

Mine loved them and I loved them as blankets made me anxious (she liked to kick blankets off so I worried she might get them over her head). She naturally liked to sleep with her arms up and as PP say it reduces the startle reflex and helps them sleep. We used all thicknesses from the 0.2 tog as a newborn to 2.5 tog in winter.

I completely get what you mean. I was a bit unsure about the enclosed arms too and kept worrying it might be uncomfortable or make it harder for baby to settle. Some little ones love that snug, arms-up position in the Love to Dream, but mine didn’t at all. The enclosed arms just seemed to frustrate them more. We ended up using the ergopouch cocoon swaddle with the butterfly cardi, and it was such a nice balance - baby stayed warm and cosy but could still move their arms naturally without feeling trapped. Since it’s tog-rated, I just followed their guide for what to wear underneath and didn’t have to stress about overheating. And you’re right, newborns wake often no matter what, but having something comfy for them does make those short stretches a bit calmer.
