Pram in the summer

Hello guys, hoping someone may be able to help me out. I have a Fox 3 pram, John Lewis massively sold the fact that it had a large extendable hood, UV 50 for use in the Summer.
I am worried that using the hood fully extended is like putting a blanket or muslin over the front of the pram, which I know is a big no,no.
I have contacted Bugaboo, who can't tell me if it's safe like this and instead keep trying to sell me the 'breezy hood'.
Does anyone know if the pram is safe to use like this? It has a mesh panel in the top of the hood and around the side of the bassinet.

How does the sheepskin work? I have seen so many around. Looks odd in the summer. But I must be missing smth

It's so clever, I guess it's why sheep don't overheat in the summer. It really does keep him cool though, he's never clammy when I get him out. This is where I got mine from, hopefully that will give you more info

I also have a six week old and a Fox. Depending on what model it is there may be air vents in the bassinet sides as well. Mine is first gen so doesn’t have these, but the fact your hood has the vent would make me think it’s a newer one.

It looks like you still have the pram apron on- I took that off so as to let the air flow around the bassinet a bit more. We have a pram fan and a snooze shade, both of which worked amazingly with our cheaper stroller in the Florida heat when DD was five months old.

To be honest though in really high temps I wouldn’t bring a new baby into the sun unless necessary. I’ve just been staying in the shade in the garden with him or waiting til the evening when it cools before going for any walks.

I had a bee. I would unzip the cover for the bassinet and use the hood you have.

This is a 3 and does have the mesh around the head end of the bassinet x
