5.3yr old DD still not dry at night - help and advive please

We have tried just leaving the nappy off at night and have stuck with this for a few weeks - sometimes it has worked but for the most part we have had to change sheets up to 3 times in one night.

She is currently in Pyjama pants which she hates but they are still extremely wet most mornings.

Any advice or tips?

My dd is only just mainly dry at night now - and she's 5.6! She does like a drink of milk at bedtime - so I started giving it to her a bit earlier than before and making sure she went to the loo before bed. I just made sure that I had matress protectors on the bed. I also didn't take off the pajama pants until she had had a full week of dry nights.

Don't worry! If they're not ready they're not ready! Some say restrict drinks so there's less in the bladder, some say drink more so the signal to empty the bladder is stronger. I say... it won't make any difference. Until they start to produce the hormone which restricts urine production at night they physically cannot have a dry night. And that can be anything up to the age of 8 or 9. If they're older then a visit to the GP may be in order as there are things that can be done, but not generally for younger children.
