I only have a baby so no idea if this pressie is appropriate for my 3 year old niece ?

I assume she can only scribble ? But also it could be used as a little den?

£20 ideal budget

Any other ideas if not ? Thank you

unless she lives in a very big house don't they are fairly flimsy and can't be moved easily or taken apart and rebuilt.

suggestions crayola mega activity tub is £21 on Amazon if you want craft.

scribble pad/writing tablet are about £10

do you know what she is into? Dolls, drawing, fluff toy animals?

My DC loved this but as said before it then became an issue about where to keep it and it fell apart when moved.
crayola mess free colouring packs are great for that age

For me I hate getting physical presents for my kids, they have enough stuff and enough family when they each buy them one present it’s a lot.

I would get clothes (more for the parents) or an activity / voucher) more for the kids. Great ones we have had are:

  • pottery painting
  • rock up (rock climbing)
  • farm or a play area area voucher
  • cinema
  • soft play

We had a pop up tent for DD which both my two love - could be used indoors and out and folds down easily.

I think the cardboard ones are a bit flimsy and not the easiest to colour for little hands.

Just here to recommend a Stomp rocket as ideal summer gift for a 3 year old! 🚀

Or as PP said, a £20 voucher for soft play or farm, or Clarks shoes voucher

flowerzchox · 14/06/2023 12:17

Thanks all, don't want to give a voucher as she loves to open pressies - her mum said she's Into anything and everything so not really narrowed down!

Clarkia voucher ?! Really?! For a child ? Will pass on that one and also clothes I buy her clothes already and she has my friends hand me down so as I say a pressie but I won't get that playpen now - thanks all x

Looks fab! Never heard of it but she would love that but they have no garden and in a flat so probably not ideal x

My two girls and my nieces (and my DS) were into dressing up at that age- my go to would be a dressing up outfit of some sort: Dr, vet, Disney princess, spider girl. I also love most Melissa and Doug sets for that age- we've had diner, BBQ, pancake, campfire/smores - all well used for years. My Dd's also liked the reusable stickers, bead sets and magnetic dress up dolls at that age.

For a 3 year old get dress up clothes or role play stuff such as a doctor's bag.

If they don't have much room go for stuff she will use and which can be stored away easily.
