and I havent stopped crying for most of the day

I thought the interview went horribly wrong so i cried when i came out, then I cried down the phone to my personal tutor who consoled me by saying theyd already asked for a reference.

By the time I got home they phoned and offered me the post I have dreamed of and I cried again, yes down the phone to my new employer

I'm so happy, ive been thru so much during my degree and Ive been so stressed for the last month with one thing and another. This has been such great news I cant believe it

lol at rummaging in my handbag. I was such a mess I forgot my spare clothes and had to give someone my keys to get them without even telling them which car was mine
No nothing technical, just lots of personal stuff and a couple of scenarios like 'what would you do if a dr asked you to do something you werent comfortable with' and 'what do you need to be mindful of when giving infusions'.

Where u going for your specialist? Do you know what you want to do yet?

Did you win the poster presentation? Well done if you were womens health

thanks donbean, yes I'm know september will be a steep learning curve I'm excited and scared!

it will become real when you get measured for your staff nurses uniform AND when you answer the phone for the first time and say "hello intensive care, STAFF NURSE speaking, can i help?"

That was HUGE for me!!!!

That first shift as staff nurse is so exciting and scary!! I remember the butterflies in my stomach as I put on my belt and buckle (showing my age here ) and then they handed me the keys and said "crack on with the drugs round then"!

3andnomore · 27/02/2008 17:42

That is fantastic news mosschops. It must be a relieve to know that you will have a job (one that you also know you will love) once you finished the course...!
