Any tips or help to get this out of his system asap?

He was fine yesterday morning, sent him to nursery as normal, got a call 12 o clock to say he'd puked - a lot. Picked him up and he was right as rain again, scoffing strawberries. Didn't want loads of lunch but had a cup of milk. Put him down for nap and he went again - everywhere, all over his bed, bedding, toys, carpet, in his hair etc.

Since then this has happened 3 more times. He's had 4 baths! It seems he just can't keep anything down. We are trying our best to offer little and often and boring foods like toast etc.

Ds1 has literally never been sick so this is a shock to us! Help!

Pro tip - don't give a vommitty child milk or yogurt, it curdles 🤢

You've just got to ride it out I'm afraid, plenty of sips of water, offer bland foods but don't worry if he doesn't, plenty of rest, keep away from others and good hand hygiene for the whole family. Hope he's ok soon.

Poor thing! Maybe no food at all for a bit to rest his stomach? Just sips of water or flat lemonade.

Hope the rest of the family escapes. There are some really nasty bugs around.

I had a nasty sickness bug over half term. It has worked its way through our whole family and a few colleagues have had the same. It does go away! Just not very nice.

Dd ate practically nothing for days. She's very slim as well so doesn't have spare weight to be losing, so it panicked me a bit. But she just had some sweet drinks and water as much as we could get her to have little bits of without being sick. She was fine after a few days. It barely bothered me or ds at all BTW. One sickness episode and then nothing. Dh was floored by it. So it seems get some people worse than others.

Keep an eye on dehydration if you're where we are especially as it's going to be hot here. Liquid is more important than food. Try him with ice lollies and (sugary) jelly too.

Going through the same with a 16 months old at the moment. It's her third time around as she had it at 13 and 14 months. In my experience, the vomiting only lasts for 24 hours.

Make sure he drinks enough liquid! My baby girl loves water but if she refuses I put some freshly squeezed apple in which she loves.
For food only banana and plain brown toast. As soon as she stopps vomiting, I move onto plain rice and potatoes.
Do not worry if he won't eat! As pp said, liquid is more important than food!

Nursery is an absolute nightmare for these things!

I’d just keep going with the toast for a few days, and as much water as he will have so he doesn’t gut dehydrated. Then let him chillax with lots stories and cuddles.

It’s grim but passes quickly - it was one thing after another with my DD for the first 6 months after she started nursery!
