Taking nappy off

DD keeps taking her nappy off if it isn’t covered by a vest etc. Any ideas why and how to stop it?

I have checked for rashes and she’s not taking them off when they are full.

As couple of things, put them back to front and put a baby gro on backwards or try the pullups.

Just turned 2- I don’t think she is yet as she isn’t showing any other signs

Probably just a new skill that she's eager to practice. Life is so exciting when you're two!

I think just reminders that it's not time to take off your nappy. When it's nappy time, let her do it. She'll probably get bored of it in a few weeks (or months!)

Do you have a garden? At just turned 2 and the weather being nice I'd be tempted to go outside with a potty just and see what happens.

I think this is probably the case, I normally just remind her that she shouldn’t take it off unless it’s time for a change. It normally takes her a while to take it off so I can catch her but it’s nap time that’s the bigger issue

Mine went through a phase of this. I just made sure we always had carpet shampoo in for emergencies and explained to her that she wasn’t ready to chuck her nappies yet. She eventually stopped doing it.

Can she have a vest at nap time instead of her other layers? I know it's a pain to keep changing her but surely less effort than changing the bedding all the time!

Or how about nappy pants for nap time?

My son used to take all his clothes and nappy off at that age, he just loved being naked, used to drive me nuts at bedtime nappy on, pyjama's on, nip in kitchen to warm his bedtime milk came back totally naked, I can laugh about it now he's in his 20's

We actually haven’t ever used nappy pants with her, I use them with her older brother but haven’t thought to try with her. I don’t know if there is much point as I feel like she will just pull them down and still have an accident
