ADHD in a 3 year old

I know diagnosis' of ADHD aren't commonly given before 4 as it can just be toddler behaviour..

My 3 year old ds is a sweet, caring, affectionate, well behaved little boy. But he is CRAZY. He cannot stop, no matter how tired it's like his brain is wired to keep going. He talks constantly, moves constantly, goes to bed brilliantly but struggles to sleep the length of time he needs to and wakes up very early every morning as he's 'ready to get up' but he's still so tired. He always struggled to nap when he used to, he just cannot stop or calm down. More than any other child I know!

Anyones kids have ADHD and can shed some light? Or is he just a typical toddler?!

Hey, my son sounds very similar! Any updates? I have heard 3 is a really tricky age!!

By 3 it was mainly the tantrums and complete inability to focus on anything he wasn't interested in that stood out. Still wasn't overly concerned until 5, and assumed it was all normal at 3.

I have adhd op and so do my siblings I don't think you can really tell at this age. They have so much energy at that age and the way their muscles are developing its almost more uncomfortable to sit still anyway. I think you'll just to watch when he starts school if he can transition at a similar rate into sitting and concentrating.

I was pretty certain my oldest had ADHD at 18 months, more so at 2 years and even more so at 3. It wasn't until he was 4 that we "demanded" an assessment. He's now 22 and has severe ADHD.
On the one hand he never slept but on the other hand he was TIRED. He was always on the go, constantly moving, constantly talking and constantly needing adult input. Couldn't amuse himself and needed constant stimulation. And when I had two .... OMG, that was wild.
