Feel sad about clearing baby items

We have 3 children now of primary school age, we have decided we arent going to have anymore children.
We don't live in a huge house but I am struggling with parting with the baby items, bouncers, walkers, pushchairs etc 🥺 how do you overcome this? It makes me feel so emotional

I just got rid of our main pram, had it 5 years with 2 kids. I brought the kids over and we all said goodbye, and I talked about what it meant to me and what we had all done together with the pram.

And then I rejoiced in all the space! Honestly you don’t need the ‘stuff’. I reckon you need time to process what it all meant and how precious those years were. Journal, look through old photos, weep, talk to mums with kids the same age. And then clear it, honestly I think you’ll feel better.

I enjoyed all the extra space and the cash I made selling the stuff! I also gave loads to our local baby bank to help new mums starting out which is a nice feeling.

I love chucking stuff out though so my enthusiasm is probably partly personality driven.

Are you able to pass it on? I really enjoy thinking of other babies enjoying what we enjoyed.

I find it a lot easier to give it to someone I know, do you have anyone that needs those items? I know what you mean though, I will probably keep both my moby wrap and my carrier for eternity. Just too special and too many memories with having them so little and close to me.

It is hard and I think the longer you leave it the harder it gets. Take photos of the items, remember the kids using them and then pass them on. Then think a out what happens if you don’t, if you keep them forever they won’t be reusable and your kids will have to take them to the dump when you die.

I donated what i could, it made me feel better that someone who really needed it would love it.

But I know the feeling, I physically hurt just thinking about the day we will give up the pram.
